The Noble Academy Promotion and Graduation Requirements

There are academic, enrichment, physical fitness, discipline, and attendance requirements students must meet to be promoted to the next grade level or to graduate.

Academics: To be promoted to the next grade level or to graduate, students must earn the credits from every class in which they are enrolled during the regular school year.

**Course Failures: Any student who fails a class will be expected to enroll in make-up classes to earn back the credits and stay on track for promotion.  Any student failing classes at the end of semester one will be expected to take them in night school during semester two. If they fail classes during the second semester, they will be expected to make the class(s) up in a summer school at The Noble Academy.

Enrichment: The Academy works to develop well-rounded students through participation in enrichment and community service.

  1. Students must earn a specified number of enrichment credits taken outside the regular school day to be eligible for promotion and graduation.
  2. Students must pass the community service requirement as outlined in the community service syllabus. Students must earn at minimum 70 hours to graduate.

Physical Fitness: Students must pass the physical fitness test and health test to be promoted to the next grade level and to graduate.

Discipline: Any student who accumulates more than the maximum allowable number of detentions, or more than 20 days of suspension in any one year will not be promoted to the next grade or graduate. If a student exceeds the maximum number of allowable detentions for a year, that student will be required to take summer behavior class in order to be promoted/graduate. The maximum number of allowable detentions in a school year for all grades is 12.

Attendance: Any student who has more than 20 absences (even excused absences) will be required to take a summer class to be promoted. This includes absences as a result of tardies to school. (4 tardies to school= 1 unexcused absence)
